Alexander Pato will sit out AC Milan’s home matches against FC Viktoria Plzeň and FC BATE Borisov after straining a muscle in his right thigh, leaving him sidelined for at least four weeks.
Pato was injured during Wednesday’s 1-1 Serie A draw with Udinese Calcio.

Pato scored the fifth fastest goal in UEFA Champions League history in the Rossoneri’s 2-2 matchday one draw at FC Barcelona last week.

The 22-year-old was forced off after 19 minutes of the visit of Udinese and his replacement Stephan El Shaarawy scored Milan’s equalising goal.

Muscle injuries have limited Pato to 23 and 25 top-flight appearances respectively in the last two campaigns.
