Wayne Rooney Scores Wonder-Goal Equalizer for Man United

Wayne Rooney scored a wonder goal in the 34th minute of the Champions League Final against FC Barcelona at Wembley Stadium in London, England.

Man United had a throw in on the right side that was played to Rooney, who took a couple of dribbles before attempting to split the Barcelona defense with a through-ball to Ryan Giggs.

Giggs played the ball back to Rooney, beating the two defenders, and Rooney’s strike went past the Barca goalkeeper, curling it magnificently into the corner of the net.

Barcelona went on to score again twice through Lionel Messi and David Villa, winning the clash 3-1 – becoming the champion of Europe.

When asked about the loss, Wayne Rooney replied, “It hurt.”

“I watched the game again because you can always learn by watching football.

“It was very disappointing but you have to put your hands up and say they were the better team.
